In partnership with IBM digital Skills for Africa, members on this track will develop skills in machine learning models, intelligent systems, and algorithms.
Software Engineering
In partnership with Google Developer Student Clubs (DSC), members on this track will develop skills in Python, PHP, Django, Front end development and more.
What Our Program Consists Of
Intensive Online Training
6 weeks
Enhance your understandings of finance or technology. Learn online from any location. Provided by our corporate sponsors. Top performing participants will interview for our in-person training.
First Look Program
2 days
The First Look program is an immersive virtual program designed to help participants to improve their skills and learn more about life at top finance and tech firms, preparing them for internship and full time roles.
Real World Experience
3 months
Each participant is guaranteed a first round interview our corporate sponsors. We prepare and mentor them through internship/job experiences.
Professional Toolkit
We touch upon every skill needed to be elite contender for the high skilled labor market and a future leader. From how to structure a resume, to public speaking, students are introduced to the fundamentals of formulating a gender-specific professional toolkit.
Technical Training
We help our fellows develop a skill set that will fast track their careers. The classroom sessions are packed with both individual and team exercises to help facilitate understanding of the concepts being taught.
Rise Up:
Empowerment Speakers Series
We take a gender specific approach to professional development. We prepare them to tackle the challenges of being a woman in the workplace. Topics touched upon mental health, the importance of self-care, why women are needed in finance and the power of young people among others.
Innovation Challenges
After completing our 6 week program, the students will be tasked with exploring the challenges facing their home communities and using the skills they've learned to develop a solution. They will present their solutions at our Annual Gala to an audience of friends, family, sponsors, and media.
